Textivities is a platform that helps teachers preparing fun language activities and text games. The website was designed for and by educators.

The launch date is scheduled for mid-2017, before the 2017/18 academic year starts.

Textivities is developed by Studio Kah!, a web development company based in Austin, TX. It started as a project by Spanish software developer and educator Alvaro Montoro to assist teachers with educational web activities.

Web accessibility is the practice or removing obstacles and barriers that prevent people with disabilities to access websites.

We consider it is important that people (in general) have access to the opportunities available online. And, in particular, we have worked with language teachers whose students had disabilities and needed activities that they could work with.

We use multiple utilities to confirm that the site is web accessible. Among them:

• Color contrast tools
• Web accessibility checking tools like Wave or SortSite
• W3C validition tools
• Screen readers like NVDA

When a website is mobile-ready/responsive, the layout responds or adapts based on the size of the device they are presented on.

A responsive website automatically changes to fit the device from which the user is connecting.

We implement responsive and adaptive web design with Bootstrap, and test it with mobility tools, smartphones and tablets.

A textivity is a text activity. From the classic "fill the gap" to more computer-oriented ones to sort sentences by drag-and-dropping blocks.

Teachers can create textivities by logging into their admin panel. From there they can go to the "textivities" section, and follow the easy-to-make process to create activities. These activities will be generic, and could be attached ot different courses.

Students can contact us in the same ways, but they should reach their teacher/class administrator before. Most common issues can be solved by teachers from their admin console.

When Textivities is launched by Mid-2017, there will be a demo page with sample textivities for teachers to see.

Premium is an extension to Textivities that gives teachers the ability to manage their classroom results better, as well as to create tests and exams based on textivities.

Most teachers will be able to operate the site without the need of Premium.

Premium is currently not available.

Teachers can reset students' passwords from the admin section. The teacher/class admin must:

1. Log into the site
2. Go to the class
3. Click on the student's name (it will take to his/her profile)
4. Click on the "Reset password" button
5. Fill in and submit the new password form

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address or other details to help you with your experience.

We do not use vulnerability scanning and/or scanning to PCI standards.
We only provide articles and information. We never ask for credit card numbers.
We use regular Malware Scanning.
